About the Author and Illustrator
Lilinoe Andrews is the author of several Hawaiian language children’s titles developed for use in the Pūnana Leo preschools and Hawaiian language immersion education. Her works include Nā Keiki ‘Elima/The Five Keiki; ‘O Kelekolio, ka Manini Li‘ili‘i/Kelekolio, the Little Manini; and E ‘Ai i Kekahi, E Kapi i Kekahi/Eat Some, Salt Some—all of which are produced in collaboration with ‘Aha Pūnana Leo and Kamehameha Publishing.

Brook Kapūkuniahi Parker is a recognized and well-respected Native Hawaiian artist. Raised in Kahalu‘u, O‘ahu, Brook has illustrated numerous books. His clients  include the University of Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i Board of Education, the Pacific American Foundation, and Kamehameha Publishing.
