About the Author and Illustrator
Lilinoe Andrews is the author of several Hawaiian language children’s titles developed for use in the Pūnana Leo preschools and Hawaiian language immersion education. Her works include Nā Keiki ‘Elima/The Five Keiki; ‘O Kelekolio, ka Manini Li‘ili‘i/Kelekolio, the Little Manini; and E ‘Ai i Kekahi, E Kāpī i Kekahi/Eat Some, Salt Some—all of which are produced in collaboration with ‘Aha Pūnana Leo and Kamehameha Publishing.
Maile Kā‘ai-Cockett is a Maui-born artist known for her work feature native Hawaiian flora and fauna.
